Understand the brief.
We start by working with you to gain a deeper understanding of your needs. We research the history of your project and familiarise ourselves with the known stakeholders and suppliers. We study the architectural plans and interior design strategy. Together, we can devise a considered shot plan that tells your story.
Arrange the date.
Landing on a shoot date can often seem like the hardest part of the job. There are invariably delays with construction and furniture deliveries, and agreeing access with multiple stakeholders can be challenging. That's before we even start to consider the unpredictable British weather!
Our extensive work in the healthcare sector has made us nimble. We are adept at arranging shoots under the most inflexible conditions, often at very short notice. We can drive this process if it helps; unburdening you of the admin and ensuring the finite opportunity to capture your project isn't missed.
Capture the images.
On shoot day we take a brief walk-through to confirm the shot plan, the optimal sequencing, and discuss any unforeseen obstacles. We capture images using a Nikon D850 camera body, paired with high quality Nikkor glass (including perspective control lenses). For speed and accuracy, we use an Arca Swiss P0 Hybrid head atop a Gitzo Systematic Series 5 tripod.
Post-production.
Editing and retouching constitute half to three-quarters of the total creative process. Lens correction, straightening, sharpening, white balance, exposure blending, colour, and tone curve is included in our day rate.
Our clients are, by their nature, perfectionists. It is why we get along so well. We encourage collaboration during post-production and offer a detailed retouching service, for an additional fee, to remove or improve anything that detracts from the story you wish to tell. Our studio uses the Adobe CC suite of apps powered by a Mac Studio with Apple's M2 Max chip and 96GB of memory. Our ASUS ProArt 4k UHD displays are regularly calibrated to ensure optimal colour accuracy at all times.
Delivery and licensing.
When everything is perfect, we send across the high resolution files, and invoice you with 30-day terms. Your worldwide, perpetual usage rights commence upon full and final payment. Our commissioning clients enjoy three months of exclusivity over the images before other stakeholders can license them. Perpetual exclusivity can be negotiated for an additional fee.
